The doctor listened carefully, nodded, and after a brief pause said calmly, \u201cWell, ma\u2019am, it sounds like you may have crabs.\u201d The woman\u2019s eyes widened in shock. She straightened up and replied firmly, \u201cThat\u2019s impossible. I am an eighty-year-old virgin.\u201d The doctor hesitated, then suggested she get a second opinion, just to be safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So the woman went to another doctor and repeated her problem word for word. The second doctor examined her chart, listened to her symptoms, and reached the same conclusion. \u201cIt\u2019s most likely crabs,\u201d he said. Furious now, the woman snapped back, \u201cAbsolutely not. I have never been with a man. I am an eighty-year-old virgin.\u201d She left the office insulted, convinced no one was actually listening to her and determined to find a doctor who would take her seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the time she reached the third doctor, her patience was gone. She laid everything out immediately. \u201cDoctor, I have an itch in my crotch. Do NOT tell me it\u2019s crabs. I am an eighty-year-old virgin. It cannot be that.\u201d The doctor raised an eyebrow, paused thoughtfully, and said, \u201cAlright, jump up on the table and let\u2019s take a look.\u201d She hesitated, then agreed, desperate for answers. The doctor examined her very carefully, much longer than the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a moment, he stepped back, nodded, and said, \u201cWell\u2026 you\u2019re right.\u201d Relief washed over her face. Finally, someone understood. She leaned forward eagerly and asked, \u201cSo what is it then, doctor?\u201d The doctor smiled and replied, \u201cIt\u2019s not crabs.
